Why I’m Fully Pivoting to HR Consulting and Support (and How It Helps Your Business Grow)

Pivot! Pivot! Pivot!

One of the most exciting parts of being an entrepreneur is realizing when it’s time for a pivot. Over the summer, I found myself diving into more HR projects and it absolutely lit me up. The work felt natural, energizing, and impactful. So, I’m leaning in to what’s been calling me for a while.

Now, that doesn’t mean I’ve abandoned my excitement for digital advertising. I still offer ad management and believe marketing has its place, but what I’ve realized is this: ads and marketing can only take a business so far if the people-side of the business isn’t running smoothly behind the scenes. HR is the foundation, and that’s where I can make the biggest difference.

So what’s new around here?

You’ll start to see more HR-focused content here. Not the boring “fun police” kind of HR (trust me, that’s not me!), but the kind that’s about strategy, structure, and people. HR is not just paperwork, it’s a growth engine. When your team feels supported, aligned, and valued, your business thrives and your revenue soars.

Why HR matters:

  • Businesses are run by people. Supporting them means supporting your growth.

  • Clear structures and systems like job descriptions, onboarding systems, and performance reviews create confidence and simplicity.

  • Positive, people-first cultures keep employees (and management) engaged, motivated, and loyal.

Some Quick W’s for every business!

There are a lot of quick wins provided by HR structure and strategy that can help small businesses feel immediate relief like:

  • An employee handbook that actually works (and people will use).

  • Job descriptions that bring clarity to roles and responsibilities.

  • A performance review system that’s simple, effective, and motivating.

These may seem small, but they lift a huge weight off business owners and set the stage for long-term growth.

So, Jenna, what are you doing?

I’m here to make HR feel approachable, supportive, and strategic for small to mid-size businesses. And if that’s you, we should talk. Because the truth is, you don’t always need a full-time HR hire, you just need fractional support. You need someone who can step in and give you the structure and strategy you need to grow with faith in yourself and your business.

I’ll be sharing HR insights and strategies in upcoming posts to help you strengthen your people and your processes. And yes, occasionally you’ll still see me geek out about ads, because sometimes, HR + Marketing together is the perfect growth combo.

So if you’re in that messy middle of knowing you need HR but not knowing where to start, I’ve got you.

I’m offering FREE 1-Hour HR Consultations so we can start building a foundation that supports your people and your business’s growth.
